Life Framer ‘World Travellers Award’ Honorary Mention
Flatiron II received an Honorary Mention from Life Framer in their World Travellers award! Jury’s comment - “In Tom’s unashamedly brash photomontage we see the world’s modern landmarks compressed together – the Eiffel Tower, Statue of Liberty, Millennium Dome and the Burj Al Arab – alongside less recognizable architecture in a kaleidoscopic explosion of energy and color.
Artwork commission for Arts Heritage at University College London Hospitals
I have just completed a commission for Arts Heritage at University College London Hospitals and I am delighted that my images are now up in a building where so much amazing work gets done. It was a good experience to work on something for the hospital environment, with lots to take into consideration and some technical obstacles. I thought I would share some of the process, to give some insight into how the project progressed.
My 39 degree photography trip to Amsterdam and Rotterdam
I was heading over for just two nights to collect as many images as I could for upcoming works and projects. I usually seek out highrise architecture for my work, so I assumed that Amsterdam was going to offer some challenges, and demand a slightly new approach. It turns out that I had chosen to go on the hottest days of the year!
