Chicago - a celebration of the high rise, but also, unusually for a city with such modernist tendencies, a feeling of spaciousness.

The L train weaves its way among the Chicago’s distinctive buildings and the light, particularly in the months of autumn and winter, strikes the city in a truly arresting way. With these images, I have used the light to give emphasis to the materials that have gone in Chicago's impressive construction. Light bouncing off concrete, metal and glass, adding pattern to the city’s narrative.
